Dr. Mary Benz
Dr. Mary Benz is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, but has lived in California, Kentucky, and Indiana before settling in the Chicago area. She attended Purdue University and received a B.S. in Biology in 1986. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May of 1990 where she also received the Upjohn award for proficiency in veterinary clinical medicine. She has been a full time veterinarian in the Chicago area since graduation.
Dr. Benz has special interests in internal medicine – particularly oncology, endocrinology, and feline medicine. She regularly attends continuing education seminars to expand her knowledge. She is a member of AVMA, AAHA and the CVMA. Dr. Benz is happily married and has two wonderful children. They currently have one rescue dog and 3 cats. Dr. Benz spends most of her spare time with her family and pets but enjoys reading, hiking and traveling.
Dr. Nancy Blondin
Dr. Nancy Blondin is originally from Batesville, IN but has lived in Bartlett since graduation from veterinary school at Purdue University in 2001. Dr. Blondin has special interest in dermatology, ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current with changes in veterinary medicine. She is a member of the AVMA, CVMA and ISVMA organizations. Dr. Blondin is happily married and has three wonderful children – two girls and one boy. They have two miniature dachshunds and a mixed breed rescue. She spends a lot of her free time tending her garden when she’s not playing with her kids or reading.
Cindy was raised on a dairy farm in Crystal Lake and now lives in Woodstock, IL. She has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Agriculture Management from McHenry County College. She has been a veterinary technician since 1992. Her interests include photography, cooking and country music. She really enjoys herding breeds such as Australian Shepherds, Blue Heelers and Border Collies.
Maria joined the Randall Oaks team in June 2003. A lifelong love and involvement of all animals has inspired her to work in the veterinary field. She enjoys assisting the veterinarians in all aspects of the practice to gain a complete understanding of all areas. When she is not busy at work, Maria enjoys the outdoors, painting, baking and music. Maria and her husband love visiting and spending time with their three children. Over the years, Maria’s “furry” family has consisted of several cats and dogs including a handsome Great Pyrenees.
Kim grew up in the Northwest suburbs with a life-long love of animals. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, she worked for many years in healthcare and business before deciding that working with animals is what she really wanted to do. Kim joined the Randall Oaks team in 2007. In her spare time she volunteers with Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus. Kim currently has 3 rescued pugs and an abandoned cat.
Rebekah joined the Randall Oak’s team in April of 2019. Her passion for interacting with animals has led her to our clinic. She is overjoyed to learn the ins and outs of a veterinary practice, and is excited for her future working in the field. In her free time, she enjoys going to training classes with her puppy, as well as having dog days out every Sunday where she frequents parks and dog friendly establishments. Her other interests include photography, drawing, and spending time outdoors.
Elise joined the Randall Oaks team in April of 2019 and is currently working as a Veterinary Assistant. She grew up around all different kinds of animals and was inspired by them to work in the veterinary field. She is working towards becoming a certified technician and enjoys her time at Randall Oaks. In her free time Elise enjoys reading a good book, gardening, or hiking with her dogs Toby and Poco.
